On Saturday 1 August, it was all Fiji on The Common with the second annual Tauvu UK Rugby 7s tournament taking place at Marlborough Rugby.
Twelve teams across three pools battled it out for the Cup, and the winners were Naitasiri UK who were champions last year as well!
Our own Marlborough Rugby squad fought hard against tremendous opposition and acqitted themselves extremely well - going out in the quarterfinals.
The Common and the Clubhouse were buzzing with players, families, supporters, and many people who came up for the day. All were witness to an amazing display of top-quality Fiji-style rugby and were treated to some fabulous food thanks to the food stalls set up around the Clubhouse. We were blessed with the fine weather and privileged to have our Town Mayor also attending and awarding winners medals at the end.
Next year's tournament will take place on Saturday 3 July, subject to confirmation.
