The Marlborough Town Council is asking for the Club's help.
Members, parents, coaches, and players are all asked to be aware of a short consultation the Council is conducting.
The Council is asking "...residents to help us find a safer way for people to cross the busy A346 in Marlborough, at the top of Port Hill between Marlborough Common and residential areas at The Thorns, The Acres, Rabley Wood View and Hawthorn Meadow by telling us if they cross the road; if not, why they don’t, and whether they would if they felt it was safer."
Many of us use that crossing point to access the Club and the pitches. We have a vested interest in a positive outcome.
This is part of a long running campaign by the Town Council seeking safety improvements on this stretch of road, specifically relating to a petition signed by 600 residents back in 2020 asking for a safer way to cross the road from the east of Marlborough to access Marlborough Common.
