Club Stalwart John Bailey's last match

John Bailey was a great club player.

His main attribute was his motivation and never tired of doing his duties on the field and off the field.

In his last match for the club, Marlborough won 28-3 against Calne and mainly thanks to their pack.

Tries were scored by Massey(2), Thomas, Sheppard and Jordan with Pye adding a conversion,a drop goal and a penalty.

Calne could only reply with a first half penalty..

Calne really defended solidly in the face of incessant Marlborough  attacks and did especially well when reduced to 14 men in the second half through injury.

John Bailey was magnificent in the second row.
