We witnessed an absolutley cracking Marlborough Rugby Under 15s match The Common on Sunday 18 January 2026 - the winning start to the new year continued for these boys!
Played in a brilliant spirit by two well‑matched sides, this was a great game to watch. Swanage started strongly and took an early lead, but the Marlborough boys showed real composure to turn 0–7 into a confident half‑time advantage. Defence held firm when it mattered, we took our chances in broken play, and the forwards’ driving lineout is fast becoming a real weapon. Christopher earned a well‑deserved man of the match for his impact.
Huge credit to Swanage — tough, committed opposition who made it a proper contest from first whistle to last. Thanks also to the referee for keeping the game flowing!
And a BIG "thank you" to all the parent volunteers and other family members who served food afterwards.
We had a friendly and sporting afternoon of great rugby, and the Clubhouse was buzzing.
