Marlborough Rugby Under 15s 24–26 Bridport RFC Under 15s
This top‑of‑the‑table clash lived up to its billing, with momentum swinging throughout and the result only decided at the final whistle.
Marlborough opened superbly, producing some of their sharpest rugby of the season in the first ten minutes. Direct carries, quick ball, and composed phase play earned well‑taken early tries and set a strong platform. Bridport then took control late in the first half, tightening their defence and forcing errors that they converted into a 20‑point lead.
The response after the break was outstanding. Marlborough showed real character and maturity, regrouping and fighting back with three excellent second‑half tries to drag themselves right back into the contest. The belief and resilience on display were a clear sign of how far this group has come.
A narrow 24–26 defeat will sting, but the performance was full of positives. With a month to reset, the boys will be eager for another shot—ideally in the final, where the chance for revenge awaits.
