This match was played as a friendly, with thanks to a very accommodating Sherborne side. Numbers were so low that we had to travel with a scratch side, comprising a few players who have 'retired' from the game and some who were playing adult rugby for the first time, and we even managed to put a father-and-son combo onto the pitch - well done the Hallgates!
It's tough when things conspire against us, but we all played rugby and everything took place in just the right spirit. Onwards and upwards, as they say!
